A day among the vines.
Choose Cartecay and Chateau Meichtry for your two main winery stops, with a proper lunch between them. Alternatively, build a dining-focused afternoon around Roo Mountain. Book transportation around your lodging address and leave room for a longer visit if you find live music you love.
One more mountain morning.
Browse an orchard or downtown Ellijay before heading home. If you want a waterfall morning, make Amicalola Falls the main activity and check the park’s current access information. Do outdoor activities before any tasting.
Where to stay
Choose an Ellijay cabin for a shared weekend, a downtown stay for easy evening dining, or a base nearer Jasper if that is where most of your reservations are. Check the actual driveway and road access before booking a large passenger vehicle.
Make the timing work
October festival and orchard traffic can change the feel of the whole weekend. Reserve lodging and transportation early, and do not rely on a last-minute rideshare pickup at a rural vineyard.
