Choose a Braselton-area lodging base and settle in for a reserved dinner at Cotton Calf or another local restaurant. Check which spa or resort facilities are included in the room and which require a separate appointment.
Start with the season
Spend a little time downtown, then make lunch and a reserved Chateau Elan experience the day’s anchors. Add the second winery only if its winter opening and indoor seating fit.
Wine is always in the plan
After lunch, make Chateau Elan the anchor of your tasting day. Add Mulberry Springs Vineyard & Winery if the opening hours, journey and your group’s pace fit comfortably. Read the wine selections and visitor policies before reserving. This route works across the year when the venues are open; confirm the current schedule, arrange a sober driver and keep dinner unhurried.
One more local experience
Leave room for breakfast and a booked spa service. If Don Carter confirms public access and the weather suits your group, a brief self-directed lake outing must happen before wine and replaces—not follows—the tasting day.
Keep the route comfortable
Use the Braselton–Flowery Branch side for this plan. Milton and Cumming are separate alternatives, not nearby extra tasting stops.
Winter planning notes
Winter is a good reason to reduce the number of drives. Seasonal paddle rentals may not operate; reserve tastings, dining and spa services separately and do not depend on lake access without park confirmation. Braselton Holiday Lights Trolley tours run in separate Sunday–Thursday departures from December 6–23, 2026. Reserve one departure and keep Chateau Elan or another wine visit in a separate daytime window; the full range is not continuous service. The Braselton Mistletoe Run starts at 8:30 a.m. December 5, 2026. Use the 5K as the morning outdoor activity, then allow recovery and lunch before any wine experience; recheck registration and route information rather than assuming day-of entry.

This route can stay indoors. Use the winery, dining and resort facilities you have actually booked rather than counting on outdoor amenities.
